10 cool things

Board Games

I go through a lot of phases, most recently I've been on a board game kick. More specifically I've been getting into hobby games. I mean, I'm always down for a good game of phase 10 or whatever you want, but if you offer me a night with an obscure, story driven, cooperative, 3 hour long board game, I'm there in a heartbeat.

Chess

Remember what I was saying about phases? I guess this one is pretty adjacent to the board games, though. Just to clear the air, no I didn't get into chess just because of the Queen's Gambit... I got into chess because everyone else was getting into chess and so youtube started suggesting chess videos to me. It's different I swear. Chess.com username is is_this_name_taken if you ever want to play a round.

This dog

I think my wife would physically hurt me if I did not include our dog. His name is Remington Parabellum, after the rifle and the ammo (her uncle named him). We just call him Remi, though, and, in return, he calls me Peter. Don't ask. He's a total attention whore and, yes, he is a very good boy.

Batman

I've always been a big fan of the dark knight. Anything batman I'm a fan of, you name it; the Nolan films? Absolutely! The animated series? Yes please! That campy old Adam West film? Adam west is my hero! The Snyder stuff? Ok, maybe not anything. I've got a fair sized collection of batman comics though.

Longboarding

Most of my free time during high school was spent out longboarding. Haven't been in a while, hills and decent streets aren't really a thing here, not to mention I was much much bolder (or stupider) back then, but I still love the adrenaline. Fastest I've ever been was 35mph.

Sour Gummy worms

Sour gummy worms are the best candy, no exceptions. Fun fact, at Winco you can buy bulk sour gummy worms for like a buck fifty a pound. I have eaten many a pound of Winco gummy worms. The best sour gummy worms are Albanese, which they DONT SELL IN ANY STORE. They sell gummy worms. They sell gummy bears. They sell SOUR GUMMY BEARS! Who eats sour gummy bears? I'm quite passionate about this.

Abandoned stuff

Another hobby I've long had is trespassing, I mean, urban exploration (branding is everything). Getting onto roofs is probably my greatest talent. It's actually been quite useful in a few practical situations too; I once saved some old people locked out of their house... with my trespassing skills. Best present I've ever given was a map of my city's storm drain system to my little brother, along with a master key to all the padlocks. Don't ask.

Espanish

I served my mission in Mexico and I loved both the people and the language. It's definitely the most practical second language for eavesdropping purposes. Plus being able to test out of Spanish and apply as a transfer student is the only reason I got into BYU after graduating with a 2.7. Gotta cheat that system

Juice

I love juice in general, but I'm specifically an orange juice snob. Don't give me any crap from concentrate and it had better have pulp in it. Tropicana is too sweet, but simply orange is usually perfect.

Halloween

Don't know what it is but I can't get enough of those spooky vibes, I would gladly live in a Tim Burton film. I cannot confirm nor deny weather I have gone trick or treating in recent years with a fake baby in a stroller or dressed as a child myself. Not for the candy, for the principle. I will take credit for the fruit-o-lanterns above though.

The fact that you hold a key to all things BYU is terrifying now that I know you "urban explore". Are you interested in card games as well? One that I really enjoy is Dominion and I would definitely encourage that. I love pulpy orange juice, it's the best. Thanks for helping me to get to know you better! I'm stoked to see what spooky films you end up making this semester.

Your list had me laughing and smiling through the whole read! I will ask no questions, as instructed above. But I will say board games are dope! My personal favorite three-hour investment has got to be Settlers of Catan--the resource hoarding, the sabotage via road building and knight placements, the secret alliances. I also appreciate your gummy worm addiction, and I stand with you, I am now planning a Winco trip to collect a certain pound bag of sugar coated sugar.

Awesome list. I know you were looking for my approval, so, I approve of everything on here even I don't dabble in longboarding or "urban exploration" myself. Actually, I do take issue with one thing here. There is no such thing as a good game of Phase 10. It's an awful, hate-inducing game that no one should play. And I'm hoping that by orange juice snob, you mean full pulp. Because that's the only way to drink oj. Hope my sarcasm came through well enough, you're great.

I am impressed by your long boarding skills, I don't I'll have that much skill in it, but I still think it's so cool. Also I love that storm drain gift. Can't wait for more spooky scripts from you!

Remington looks like such a good boy!! I love dogs so much, that is also included in my cool things haha! I also, love how you love halloween. It's such an underrated holiday, in my opinion. So, when I meet people who love halloween, it's awesome! Great Job! Loved seeing all the things that make you unique!
